Sheelanagig refer to themselves on their website as ‘Acoustic World-Folk’ and that’s as good a label as any if you need one. These guys play an amalgam of just about any kind of music you can name with high energy and incredible musicality. Gypsy-jazz, Celtic, klezmer, reggae… it’s all in there somewhere and reputation has it that they have a terrific live act.
