Get Real Records was originally founded in the early nineties as an outlet for Southern Exposure, a band fronted by North Carolinian singer/songwriter Randy Gambill. Since Southern Exposure's acclaimed 'Small Town' album back in '94, Get Real Records has continued to release high quality acoustic music from a number of artists.

"The emphasis has always been on high quality 'real' music, but if pushed I'd have to say our own particular area of interest lies in traditional music forms such as Irish and American music injected with an improvisational element" Leon Hunt (co-founder)

Get Real Records is now headed up by Josh Clark and Leon Hunt. Having first met whilst studying music at Bath Spa University and subsequently sharing the workload on numerous commercial releases and soundtracks the duo have developed a very productive working partnership that not only benefits from shared musical interests but also capitalises on complimentary differences.
